YES to simulcast 'The Michael Kay Show' starting Feb. 3
After months of speculation, the YES Network made it official Thursday with the announcement that it will simulcast "The Michael Kay Show" from 3 to 7 p.m. staring Feb. 3.
Kay's radio show, which is on ESPN Radio 98.7 in New York, will replace the Mike Francesca WFAN simulcast. Francesa's last YES appearance will be Super Bowl Sunday Feb. 2.
Kay is also the play-by-play announcer for YES' Yankees coverage.
Kay will be joined by Don LaGreca.
"I'm really happy Don and I are going to be simulcast on YES," Kay said in a statement. "We have a great time doing the ESPN Radio show, and that will come through even more with the visual aspect. While it is still predominantly a radio show, I don't think you should ignore the camera in the room and we are going to have fun with that. The national reach of YES is going to allow even more people access. And the people at YES, where I have worked since the onset, do everything first class so I'm sure the show is going to be presented in a great manner. I can't wait."
