Man accused of break-in, knifepoint threat in Schenectady
SCHENECTADY A city man is accused of breaking into a woman’s home Friday and holding a knife to her throat, authorities said.
Keith L. Edwards, 35, of 506 Summit Ave., allegedly broke into the Hulett Street residence in violation of an order of protection.
He is accused of holding the knife to the woman’s throat and putting his hands around her neck, according to papers filed in court. Five children were also present in the residence at the time.
Edwards faces one count each of second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree criminal contempt, felonies, as well as one count each of fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree menacing and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors.
