Two face charges of possessing crack cocaine in Gloversville
GLOVERSVILLE Gloversville police arrested two people Tuesday on crack cocaine charges.
An officer stopped a rental vehicle on Carpenter Street and determined that neither the driver nor passenger — Justin Jansen, 25, of 330 Division St., Schenectady, and Chiffon Butler, 26, of 426 Central Ave., Hamilton, N.J., respectively — were on the rental agreement.
During a search, investigators found 23 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $2,500. Both Jansen and Butler were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and jailed in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
