Fifth man charged in April assault
SARATOGA SPRINGS A fifth person has been arrested in connection with an April assault of a man at Whitmore Court apartments.
Jeffrey D. Hulett, 21, of Rodgers Lane, Saratoga Springs, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony first-degree burglary and two misdemeanors: fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
City police said Hulett’s arrest is the final one in connection with a 4 a.m. April 6 assault at the apartment complex, where a group of people returned after one of them was thrown out of a party.
The group is accused of beating a man with a hammer and other blunt objects and threatening to stab him with a knife. He was taken to Saratoga Hospital and treated for head and body injuries.
Four people were arrested in April: Ryan Barber, 25, Aubrey Barber, 30, and Theodore B. Pamper, 24, all from Route 9P in Malta; and Jacob A. Boldt, 24, of Purinton Road in Gansevoort.
