Names released from Friday's drug raid in Saratoga Springs
SARATOGA SPRINGS Police have identified the six people arrested in Friday's raid on a house at 149 Grand Ave. that was allegedly connected with the distribution of cocaine, crack, heroin and pills.
Facing the most serious charge is Robert L. Durr, 44, of Grand Avenue, who was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a B felony. He also faces class A misdemeanor charges.
John R. Bates, of Grand Avenue, and Shabazz R. Felton, 21, of Brooklyn, were both charged with a class A misdemeanor drug possession and a violation for marijuana possession. Michael David Wood, 47, of Congress Street, faces the A misdemeanor drug possession charge.
James L. Long, 59, of Grand Avenue, faces two A misdemeanor drug possession charges and two other A misdemeanor charges.
Barry C. Phalen, 59, of Glens Falls, was charged with seventh-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, an A misdemeanor.
As the result of the raid, a female dog and 12 puppies were taken from the residence and brought to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. City code enforcement has closed down 149 Grand Ave., which has no trespassing signs on the front doors now.
