Fourth arrest made in Saratoga Springs assault
SARATOGA SPRINGS City police made a fourth arrest today in a gang assault that happened April 6 at the Whitmore Court Apartments and resulted in head and body injuries to a Saratoga Springs man.
Jacob A. Boldt, 24, of Purinton Road in Gansevoort was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, both felonies, and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. A fifth arrest in the case is possible in the near future, police said.
On Thursday, Saratoga Springs police charged Ryan Barber, 25, with felony assault, and Aubrey Barber, 30, with felony burglary, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Both are from Route 9P in Malta. Theodore B. Pamper, 24, also of Route 9P in Malta, was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.
The incident happened at about 4 a.m. April 6 when police said a group of people returned to Whitmore Court Apartments where earlier in the night Pamper was escorted from the party against his will.
Police allege those charged beat a city man in his mid-20s with a hammer and other blunt objects and threatened to stab him with a knife. The victim was taken to Saratoga Hospital where he was treated for head and body injuries and released the same day.
Boldt was arraigned and taken to Saratoga County Jail for lack of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond.
