The marriage of Elizabeth Marie Costa, daughter of Frank and Jane Costa of Clifton Park, to Thomas Liberato Tomaselli, son of George and Maria Tomaselli of Schenectady, took place September 13, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady. Fr. Roderick Crispo, O.F.M., uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony.
The bride was escorted to the alter by her parents.
Sheira Schiff of Port Washington, Long Island, was maid of honor and Jennifer Metcalf, of Amherst, NH, cousin of the bride, and Norabelle Greenberger, of Greenwich, NY, were bridesmaids.
Best man was Christopher Tomaselli, of Schenectady, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Costa of NYC and Matthew Costa, of Hoboken, NJ, brothers of the bride.
The reception was held at Saratoga National Golf Course.
The bride, a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and Smith College in Northhampton, MA, where she majored in economics, works for the Golub Corporation/Price Chopper Supermarkets.
The groom, a graduate of Mohonasen High School and Siena College, where he majored in marketing, is a catergory manager for Golub Corporation/Price Chopper Supermarkets.
After a honeymoon in Disney World, the couple reside in Clifton Park.
Kristen M. Pomeroy and John J. Hotaling were married April 20, 2009 at Mahaulepu Beach, Kauai, HI. A reception followed at Smith’s Tropical Luau. A second reception was held May 30, 2009 at the Rotterdam Elks Lodge for family and friends that could not attend in Hawaii.
John is the son of George and Marge Hotaling of Rotterdam. Kristen is the daughter of Bill and Anne Pomeroy of Glenville.
Kristen is a medical secretary at Schenectady Orthopedics and John is a police officer for the City of Schenectady.
George and Charlotte Tusang of Schenectady recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner at their home, given by their children.
The couple were married June 25, 1949 at St. Vincent’s Grotto, Albany, NY.
Their children are Linda Sobieski of Carlisle, NY, Carol Swartz of Garnerville, NV, George Tusang III of Glenville, William Tusang and Lisa Harbison, both of Carlisle, NY.
They have 10 grandchildren.
Rick and Debbie Quick of Glenville recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary with a scenic train ride to NYC and tour of the city.
The couple were married at First Reformed Church of Scotia on June 15, 1974.
Deborah is employed by Scotia Glenville High School in the Life Skills class. Richard has been employed for 35 years as a Manager of GCR Corporation.
They have two children, Tracy (Darrell) Schlicker of Michigan and Ricky Quick of Scotia.
