The future groom attended Schalmont High School and received a bachelor's degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame. He is the product manager for Coffee Pods for Baronet Coffee, Hartford, CT.
The future bride graduated from the University of Notre Dame, with a bachelor's degree of science and the University of Pittsburgh, with a doctorate in physical therapy. She is employed by Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT as an acute care physical therapist.
The wedding is planned to take place August 9, 2008 at the Basilica of The Sacred Heart on the University of Notre Dame Campus.
Maria L. Sacchetti and Daniel L. Colomb have announced their engagement. Maria is the daughter of Bruno and Lucy Sacchetti of Schenectady. Daniel is the son of Timothy and Joanne Colomb of N. Syracuse.
The future bride is a graduate of the University of Mass-Amherst, where she received her BFA, and Christine Valmy School of Esthetics (Paramedical Esthetics). She is an esthetician at Roosevelt Mineral Baths & Spa.
Her fiance is a USMA West Point graduate. He majored in American legal studies and systems engineering. He is a Captain in the US Army. He served a 2005-2006 tour of duty in Iraq and is serving a 2007-2008 tour of duty in Afghanistan.
A September 2008 wedding is planned.

Alissa is a graduate of Siena College and the University of Albany. She is employed as a research scientist at the NYS Dept. Of Health.
Her husband is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and the University of Albany. He is a medical student at Albany Medical College.
The couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Edward and Carol (Thomas) Austro of Charlton, NY recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner party attended by family and friends at Manna's Restaurant in Ballston Spa. The party was given by their children.
The Austro's were married November 9, 1957 at St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa.
They have six children, Carolyn (John) O'Donnell of Pittstown, Susan (Daniel) Jones of Broadalbin, MaryLou (Michael) Crandall of Scotia, Edward (Donna Wittemeyer) Austro of Glenville, Thomas (Gail) Austro of Glenville and Daniel (Cheryl) Austro of Hagaman. The couple have 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
S. Anthony and Gloria Mastroianni of Rotterdam recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise party at Turf Tavern in Scotia. The couple were married at St. John's Church in Schenectady on October 5, 1957.
They renewed their marriage vows with the Reverend John Medwid officiating. A special proclamation was presented to them from Mayor Stratton's office, designating a special day in their honor.
The party was given by their children and their spouses, Joyce Staschak and husband David of Clifton Park and Michael Mastroianni and his wife, Deborah of Rotterdam. They also have two grandchildren, Laura Staschak of Pittsburgh and Clifton Park and Sarah Mastroianni of Rotterdam.
The former Gloria Paolucci and her husband Anthony were high school sweethearts at Nott Terrace High School, graduating in 1955. They enjoy trips to Florida and being with family and friends.

The bride is the daughter of Marilyn M. Lavigne of Johnstown and the late Paul J. Lavigne. The groom is the son of Mary A. Mullin of Chevy Chase, MD and the late Jerome P. Mullin. Maid of honor was Patricia Lavigne, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mary Ann Mullin, Maureen VanBesien and Elizabeth Mullin, sisters of the groom.
Best man was Timothy Mullin, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Mullin; brother of the groom, Bruce Lavigne, and Michael Lavigne, brothers of the bride.
All 18 of the bride and grooms nieces and nephews participated in the wedding ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Johnstown High School. She is overseeing HR and finance operations at Capital Re-Bath, Silver Springs, MD.
Her husband is a graduate of Gonzaga College High School, Washington D.C. He is owner of Capital Re-Bath, a bathroom remodeling company in Silver Springs.
The couple took a wedding trip to Grenada.
