FONDA – A Fonda man entered his neighbor’s house without permission and, when confronted, said he was looking for TUMS, state police said.

Christopher J. Fisher, 45, of Fonda, was charged last week with one count of second-degree burglary, a felony.

Fisher is accused of entering the home July 5 without the resident’s permission, a state police spokeswoman said.

“He was discovered by the victim in their living room and told the victim he was looking for Tums,” spokeswoman Trooper Kerra Burns wrote in an email. “He left the residence when the victim called police.”

State police arrested Fisher at his residence July 22. He was processed and released to appear in court later.
