Amsterdam man with 70 violations ticketed again

During a traffic stop, police learned his vehicle had license plates belonging to a different vehicle

AMSTERDAM — An Amsterdam man who police said has had his license revoked or suspended 70 times got another ticket on Wednesday, Montgomery County Sheriff Jeffrey T. Smith reported.

Hussain V. Williamson, 27, of West Main Street, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation in the city on Thursday. During the stop, police learned that the vehicle had license plates belonging to a different vehicle, and that Williamson’s license had been revoked, and was showing a total of 70 suspensions and revocations, police said.

Williamson was ticketed for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, improper plates and speeding. He was released on appearance tickets to appear later in Amsterdam City Court.
