Area football teams pay tribute to Hoosick Falls’ Jones

Section II programs turn on lights at their fields

​Days after Hoosick Falls football head coach Ron Jones died last week following a heart attack, programs from around Section II — and beyond — paid tribute to the legendary coach.

On Friday night, teams turned on the lights at their football fields to honor Jones who won 155 games, eight Section II championships and the 2012 Class C state championship during more than two decades leading his alma mater’s program.​ Jones was 51 years old.​
