The Luzerne Music Center has canceled its summer season, including the camp sessions and the concert series, due to COVID-19.
“We want you to know this decision was not made lightly. With the health of our campers, staff and patrons at the forefront of our concerns, our team has been in daily discussions to ensure a safe experience for everyone,” said Elizabeth Pitcairn, the CEO and executive director.
“Anyone who has visited our campus knows the magic our students bring each year. It is hard to imagine a summer without music echoing off the lake, with bunks left vacant and rehearsal spaces sitting quiet.”
According to a letter from Pitcairn, the Center will use the summer season to break ground on campus improvements, including new cabin accommodations. It will reopen next summer. For more information visit luzernemusic.org.
