Downtown Schenectady parking lot back in service

SCHENECTADY — The Franklin-Liberty parking lot in downtown Schenectady reopened today after months of reconstruction.

Back in May, the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority approved a $434,800 contract with Luizzi Brothers, of Albany, to reconstruct the lot. It features new landscaping and a well-lit pedestrian pathway that connects Metroplex parking lots at Broadway and Liberty to Center City and the Proctors block.

The lot is located between Franklin and Liberty streets, near the Katbird Shop and Tara Kitchen.
