Hannoush out of Crossgates

Hannoush Jewelers has closed its store in Crossgates Mall to focus on its locations in Albany and Clifton Park, the family-owned jeweler announced Sunday.

The jeweler has more than 40 company-owned and franchise locations in the Northeast and in Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. The recent closure leaves just two locations in the Capital Region: one at Village Plaza in Clifton Park and one at 112 Wolf Rd. in Albany.

"After 30 years, it is bittersweet ending but we are looking forward to great things from our more 'freestanding' locations," the company said in an announcement on its Facebook page. "We would like to thank everybody who has visited our Crossgates store and we hope to see you at one of our other locations to serve all of your jewelry needs!"

Most of the staff from the Crossgates location will move over to the Wolf Road location, where traffic has been busy, the company said.
