A new look for Regency Jewelers
Former Golub employees have reopened their Rotterdam jewelry store to the public now that a $250,000 renovation is complete.
Regency Jewelers celebrated a grand reopening last week at 1540 Altamont Ave. with a ribbon cutting hosted by The Chamber of Schenectady County.
CEO Joseph Delefano and President Richard Poltorak first opened the store in 1995 after several years spent learning the business when they weren't working together at the Schenectady-based Golub Corporation.
“We wanted to update the store to make it a design center and implement a premium jewelry store,” said Poltorak in a news release. “Our new layout allows the customer to go from designing the piece on the computer to seeing the actual piece in hand.”
The independent jewelry store carries pieces ranging from traditional to contemporary and from fashion to urban jewelry lines, as well as several designer jewelry lines.
Most of Regency's inventory is designed and manufactured on-site, and a professional jewelry repair department is also located in the store. The newly renovated store now offers 3D printing.
Regency Jewelers is open Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
