Just in time for tax season
H&R Block held a grand reopening last week to celebrate a $41,000 remodel of its Schenectady retail office. The tax services provider's office at Route 7 and Watt Street in the Crosstown Plaza had undergone years of wear and tear.
The remodel gave the office a more professional, modern look with relaxing colors and more privacy in cubicle-style work areas. About 12 employees work at the office, with a few more each tax season.
The Chamber of Schenectady County hosted the ribbon cutting, which was sponsored by Albany firm McNamee, Lochner, Titus & Williams, PC. It was attended by Alicia Earle, Pena Smith and Jeff Simon, of H&R Block; Sen. Hugh Farley representative Mike Mansion; City Councilwoman Leesa Perazzo; Chamber ambassador Tonia Brownell; Donna Gigone, of the Capital District YMCA; and Mike Horelick, of Creative Marketing Concepts.
