Dutchwomen moving up
The Union College women's soccer team (10-1, 2-1 Liberty League) moved up to No. 13 in the NSCAA National Division III rankings.
Junior midfielder Laura Snowden scored twice in the 21st and 85th minute to help the Dutchwomen earn a 2-0 victory over Bard Saturday. Snowden earned Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
The No. 13 ranking is the highest this season for the Dutchwomen, who are one of two Liberty League teams in the poll, above No. 18 William Smith (9-2-1, 4-1 Liberty League).
Union travels to the North Country this weekend for games against Clarkson and St. Lawrence, with their first contest against Clarkson on Friday at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, defending NCAA Division II national champion The College of Saint Rose dropped to 17th in the latest D2 poll.
