Tough schedule again for UAlbany

UAlbany's men's basketball team, coming off a solid 19-15 season, will be facing several powerful opponents in non-conference play this season.

Included in a brutal non-conference slate are games against Duquesne (Nov. 9), at Ohio State (Nov. 11), and at Washington (Nov. 13), as well as the annual matchup with archrival Siena Dec. 1 at Times Union Center. The Great Danes will play in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament and the ESPN BracketBusters.

Other non-conference games include Missouri-Kansas City (Nov. 17) and Norfolk State or Loyola, Md. (Nov. 18), in the Hall of Fame Tournament, two games with South Carolina State (Nov. 20 and Dec. 12), Wagner (Nov. 26), St. Francis, N.Y. (Dec. 5), Quinnipiac (Dec. 21), Brown (Dec. 31) , Colgate (Dec. 8) and Navy (Dec. 28).

The Great Danes, who return starters Mike Black, Blake Metcalf and Luke Devlin, as well as part-time starters Jacob Iati and Jayson Guerrier, will host the America East Conference tournament this season.
