Berliner repeats

Normanside Country Club assistant pro Scott Berliner, the reigning section Player of the Year, won his second consecutive Northeastern New York PGA Stroke Play Championship by two shots today at Mohawk Golf Club.

Berliner fired his second straight even-par 71 for a two-day total of 142. He earned $2,700. Bob Mucha of Greenock Country Club was second with a 72-144.

Mucha had a double-bogey on the 17th hole after pulling into a tie with Berliner on the 16th hole.
