Bob "Goose" Faragon of Schenectady advanced to the Round of 8 and earned $1,700 in the PBA Senior Pepsi Open late Tuesday night at Spare Time Lanes.
Faragon, whose best finish on the Senior PBA Tour was a runner-up berth a year ago, lost in the Round of 8 to seven-time PBA Player of the Year Walter Ray Williams, 2-0, in match play.
Tom Baker, a PBA Hall of Famer and four-time Senior Player of the Year, won the title and $8,000 by beating Dale Csuhta, 237-181, in the championship game.
