After a slow start, UAlbany came on strong, rallying from an 11-point deficit to draw even by the half.

Newcomers got their game untracked. Redshirt freshman Logan Aronhalt sank a pair of treys, and another redshirt freshman, Jake Lindfors, wasn't afraid to put up some perimeter shots. Freshman guard Derrek Tartt was solid with three assists and three points in 11 minutes.

Will Harris shook off a slow start to score nine points, and Tim Ambrose added nine for the Great Danes.

Reggie Holmes heated up with 13 points for the Bears, who are playing their first game of the season.
