Glenn Davis, the head pro at Albany Country Club, was named the Northeastern New York PGA Player of the Year for the first time after winning the point championship.
Davis' season was highlighted by a win in the NENYPGA Professional Championship at Mohawk Golf Club and a second-place finish at the NENYPGA Points Challenge.
Rick Pohle of Taconic Golf Club was named the Senior Player of the Year for the second time.
Scott Berliner, assistant pro at Shaker Ridge Country Club, was named the Assistants Player of Year for the fourth time in the last five years. He won the FAM Funds Pro Classic at Cobleskill Golf & Country Club, the NENYPGA Points Challenge at the Country Club of Troy and the Assistants Match Play Championship at Colonie Golf & Country Club.
Ian Breen, assistant pro at Colonie Golf & Country Club, was named the Vardon Stroke Average winner with a stroke average of 73.07. He won the Heineken Open Pro Classic at Capital Hills at Albany.
The local PGA section also announced that Kevin Hughes of Saratoga Golf & Polo Club, Glen Snowden of Van Patten Golf Club and Josh Hillman of Berkshire Hills Country Club were elected to the NENYPGA Executive Committee.
