Schenectady Muny head pro Brian Damon said that this weekend's Gazette County Amateur Golf Championship will most likely be played under summer rules.

Depending on the weather conditions, the course is in good enough shape to try this experiment, but the competitors better be careful, because most players aren't used to having to play every shot as it lies.

Five-time titlist Paul Pratico will be back to defend his title along with other former champs like Robby Bigley Jr., Bob Cooper, Jim Mueller, Ed Chylinski, Bill Moll, Bill Frutchy and Mike Bayus.
