Amsterdam radio station WVTL-AM (1570) will host a pair of local debates in the days leading up to Election Day.
21st Congressional District candidates Jim Buhrmaster and Paul Tonko will debate for an hour beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30. WVTL morning host Bob Cudmore will moderate the debate, with talk show hosts Sam Zurlo and Mike Mancini asking questions of the candidates. The candidates will offer opening and closing statements and will have the opportunity to question each other and take calls and e-mails from listeners.
WVTL also has scheduled a debate between 105th District Assemblyman George Amedore Jr. and Democratic challenger Mark Blanchfield for 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3
Cudmore will again moderate that debate, with Mancini asking questions of the candidates. They will again offer opening and closing statements and have the opportunity to question each other and take calls and e-mails from listeners.
