Mexico photos

Damas y caballeros, you have come to the right place, in case you followed the directions from my column in the print version of the Gazette.

This is where you can see a few photos that I took on my recent excursion through Mexico, simply by clicking HERE.

For those with technical curiosity, I used a Canon Powershot, which is a compact camera of the point-and-shoot variety but with the refinement of manual controls, allowing me to set the aperture, shutter speed and ISO independently. For night shots I used a tripod, permitting longer exposures than are possible with a hand-held camera.

I was wondering if the beautiful Phillipine tourist might be Mrs. Strock?

Again, I appreciate the work of C. Strock. I see your point of view in the photos, as well as in your writings -- resembles mine.

Glad to know you were on vacation and not indisposed. Readers of the free version were not notified of your status.

Pretty darn good pictures for an amateur!

Photos worthy of National Geographic. We, too, have been to Patzcuaro and loved it. Good to see it again.

I also shoot with a Cannon Powershot, and it's been my "go to camera" when I don't want to lug my other camera equipment and lenses. Nice shots.
