I hied myself over to the car show at the Saratoga Auto Museum the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it despite basically not giving a hoot about cars, much less about Pontiac Firebirds, which were the cars on display.
I didn’t even know what a Pontiac Firebird was before this show, but never mind. As painted, pampered and modified by an enthusiast, it’s a work of art.
And in case you’re wondering, I did take a few pictures, and you the reader can see them by clicking here.
This is a whole new development for me, since obviously a column in the print edition of the Daily Gazette does not have room for photographs. From now on, when something I write about lends itself to photographic treatment, I hope to work that angle as well.
Anyway, the cars were works of art far more than they were functional means of transportation, which is a subject I explore in my column in today’s (Tuesday’s) printed edition of the Gazette, which I hope you will rush right out and buy.
