Girls lacrosse: Beardsley sets records
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake senior lacrosse star Nicole Beardsley set three school records Thursday night in the Spartans 19-14 comeback Suburban Council win over Shenendehowa.
Beardsley set single game marks with eight goals and 11 points, and broke her own single-season record for goals, pushing her total to 67 after netting 66 as a junior.
Jordyn Godfrey had held the BH-BL single-game goal record with seven in a 2012 game against South Glens Falls.
Becky Guess had a BH-BL-record 10 points (6-4) in 2011 game against Columbia. Beardsley tied that total twice last season against Ballston Spa (6-4) and Columbia (6-4), and tied it again this season against Ballston Spa (4-6) and Colonie (6-4).
Burnt Hills trailed Shenendehowa, 10-5, early in the second half. Beardsley scored six of her goals during BH-BL’s comeback from that deficit.
Beardsley, who as a junior earned U.S. Lacrosse All-American status, has signed with Division I Northwestern.
