School hoop: Erickson Tamarac's best

Jenna Erickson became Tamarac’s all-time scoring leader for girls’ basketball Saturday (Feb. 1) with 16 points in a 69-61 non-leage loss at Shenendehowa.

Erickson needed 12 points to surpass 1986 graduate Pam Gleason, who piled up 1,447 for the Bengals. Erickson put in nine fourth-quarter points to extend her total to 1,452.

Erickson turned in a 27-point performance Friday in a 76-34 Wasaren League win over Schuylerville.

BENEFIT TWIN BILL

The varsity basketball teams from Shenendehowa and Shaker will meet in a benefit double-header Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Siena College’s Alumni Recreation Center.

The girls’ will play at 6:30 and the boys will square off at 8.

All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to a charity on behalf of the North Colonie Central School District and the Shenendehowa Central School District.

All tickets are $3 and will be available at the ticket office at Siena College beginning at 6 on the night of the event.
