School notes: Ferguson among HOF inductees

Saratoga Springs graduate Lindsey Ferguson will be honored for her individual accomplishments and her contributions to the high school’s championship 2004 cross country team at the Blue Streak Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 12.
in September.

That hall-bound team of Ferguson, Nicole Blood, Ashley Campbell, Hannah Davidson, Karyn Delay, Caitlin Lane and Alysha McElroy set a scoring record with 51 points when it placed first at the Nike Team Nationals. Beforehand, the standout cast coached by Art and Linda Kranick captured Federation, state, Section II and Suburban Council titles.

Ferguson was a 15-time All-American in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track, and as a senior in 2006 was selected the Gatorade New York State Track and Field Athlete of the Year. She won two national steeplechase titles and a trio of state steeplechase crowns before continuing her athletic career at Notre Dame.

Thomas Healy, Kathleen Kauth, Marty Sherman, Andrea Snyder-Pedersen and Robert Stulmaker will also be inducted into the hall of fame. The ceremony begins at 4:30 in the Saratoga Springs High School Meade Auditorium.
