Section II at-large qualifiers

Seventeen Section II athletes were awarded at-large berths to next weekend’s state wrestling tournament on Wednesday.
Seven Capital Region wrestlers were added to the Division I (large school) pool, two from Queensbury. Ten locals were added to the DII (small school) brackets, including three from Duanesburg and two from Whitehall.
Four wrestlers from across the state were added to the brackets in the 15 weight classes in both DI and DII, rounding out 16-man brackets for the state tourrney,
Included in the additions are four 2009 Section II champions who lost in last weekend’s state qialifiers — Queensbury’s Josh St. John in Division I, and Duanesburg’s Evan Borst, Tamarac’s Jake Oswald and Brian Walsh of Watervliet in DII. They all finished second last weekend.
Cody Mosley of Averill Park and Duanesburg’s Curt Rowley are alternates, and could be added if there are scratches.
