SCHENECTADY — Nicole Kellogg and Natasha Hale rallied for singles victories, and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake swept the doubles en route to a 4-3 victory over Amsterdam Thursday in the Section II Class A girls’ team tennis final at Central Park.

Kayla Brown and Jenna Juron, and Kayla Eddy and Sarah Travaly, picked up doubles wins for the Spartans, each prevailing in two games after Kellogg and Hale went three.

Burnt Hills has won four straight Class A titles under coach Karen Layton.

Coach Bill MacArthur’s Shenendehowa squad won its second Class AA title in four years with a 6-3 triumph over Guilderland.

Shenendehowa's winners included No. 1 singles player Jessica Macaluso, and its No. 1 doubles in Meghan Flaim and Allison Biernik. Seven seniors on this year's team were on Shenendehowa's 2006 title-winning contingent.
