RPI women's hockey team announces recruiting class

The RPI women's hockey team will have four new players join the team in the fall, the school announced Friday.

Three of the players are forwards. They are Marisa Raspa of the North American Hockey Academy, Whitney Renn of Little Caesars Hockey Club and Shayna Tomlinson of St. Paul’s & Assabet Valley in New Hampshire.

The defenseman is Amanda Kimmerle of Anoka (Minn.) High School.

“We look forward to having these outstanding women join our program. They come from great families and are exceptional student-athletes,” RPI coach John Burke said. “I want to thank [assistant coaches] Derek Alfama and Melanie Greene for doing an outstanding job putting together this year’s class. We expect them to have an immediate impact to our program and community. I know all four of them can’t wait to wear the cherry and white this fall.”
