Catalon will call NFL games for CBS

Former WNYT (Ch. 13) sportscaster Andrew Catalon will be calling NFL games as part of a three-man booth for CBS Sports this season, the network announced Tuesday.

Catalon will be paired with analysts Steve Beuerlein and Steve Tasker.

Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts will be the No. 2 team this season. They may call many of the major Sunday games CBS will televise as Jim Nantz, Phil Simms and Tracy Wolfson will be on "Thursday Night Football" coverage for CBS and NFL Network.

Analyst Trent Green joins play-by-play man Greg Gumbel. Green replaces Dan Dierdorf, who retired at the end of last season.

The other pairings are Kevin Harlan/Rich Gannon and Spero Dedes/Solomon Wilcots. Game coverage also will include play-by-play announcers Brian Anderson and Tom McCarthy, as well as analysts Adam Archuleta and Chris Simms.

CBS will have other sideline reporters during the season, including Jenny Dell and Evan Washburn.
