Carpenito leaves Union women's hockey, joins Northeastern staff
Nick Carpenito's time as an assistant coach for the Union women's hockey team didn't last long.
Carpenito has joined the Northeastern women's hockey team as an assistant coach, the school announced Thursday. Carpenito is a 2011 Northeastern graduate, so the move is a return home for him.
Carpenito came to Union from Elmira College last spring, where he was an assistant coach of the varsity team and the head coach of the junior varsity squad.
"We would like to welcome Nick back to Huntington Avenue," Northeastern coach Dave Flint said in a statement. "We had a lot of great candidates but after the interview process, Nick's passion for coaching was clear, and the only thing that exceeded it was his passion for Northeastern."
