Ex-RPI standout D'Amigo traded by Toronto to Columbus

Former RPI forward Jerry D'Amgio was traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Columbus Blue Jackets for forward Matt Frattin on Tuesday.

The Leafs also sent a conditional seventh-round pick in next year's draft to the Jackets.

D'Amigo, who was ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year in 2009-10, his only season with RPI, appeared in 22 games with Toronto last season. He had one goal and two assists. He spent most of his pro career with the AHL's Toronto Marlies. In 240 games with the Marlies, D'Amigo had 57 goals and 61 assists.

He was selected by the Leafs in the sixth round of the 2010 draft.
