RPI to honor the 1963-64 Frozen Four team next weekend

Next weekend, RPI will honor the 1963-64 hockey team that made it to the Frozen Four that season.

The celebration begins Feb. 7 against Yale, when Jerry Knightley, the team's and nation's leading scorer that season, will be inducted into the RPI Hockey Ring of Honor. Knightley had 33 goals and 42 assists in 26 games.

The next night at the Big Red Freakout against Brown, the team will be recognized. Nine of the 16 team members are expected to be at the game.

RPI lost to Denver, 4-1, in the semifinal. It beat Providence, 2-1, in the third-place game.
