Bennett loses hair for good cause (with video)

Union hockey coach Rick Bennett is a little lighter on top today.

Bennett took part in the St. Baldrick’s “Shave in Solidarity” event today at Proctors Theatre. The event shows solidarity with children fighting childhood cancer.

Bennett volunteered for the event a few weeks before the Dutchmen knew they were going to play in the NCAA Frozen Four.

“I feel like a real speed burner right now,” Bennett said about having his hair shaved off. “Honestly, it’s for a great, super cause. Just like I had mentioned before, a lot of people have a choice. I had a choice to do this. The poor kids who have cancer don’t. It’s one way that I can show my support.”
