Ex-Union goalie Grosenick makes 23 saves in Sharks' loss to Jets

Former Union College hockey goalie Troy Grosenick stopped 23 shots for the San Jose Sharks, who dropped a 5-3 decision to the Winnipeg Jets in the Vancouver Canucks' Young Stars Classic on Friday in Penticton, British Columbia.

The score was tied, 3-3, after two periods. The Jets broke the tie when Scott Kosmachuck 3:55 into the third period. Brenden Kichton scored his second goal of the game with 6:05 left.

Grosenick allowed three goals in the first period.

The Sharks are back in action Sunday against the Calgary Flames, who have former Dutchmen center Josh Jooris playing in the tournament.
