Ex-Union goalie Grosenick makes 10 saves in Sharks' loss to Canucks

Former Union College hockey goalie Troy Grosenick made 10 saves in the third period, but was charged with the loss, in the San Jose Sharks' 3-2 setback to the Vancouver Canucks in the Canucks' Young Stars Classic Thursday in Penticton, British Columbia.

Grosenick didn't start the game. He replaced J.P. Anderson at the start of the third. The Sharks trailed, 2-1, after two.

The Sharks tied the score on Konrad Abeltshouser's goal with 7:31 left in the third. But the Canucks took the lead less than a minute later on Daniel Johnston's goal.

The Sharks face the Winnipeg Jets at 7 p.m. Friday.
