Union goalie Stevens could be on ice Thursday

An update on injured Union goalie and Niskayuna native Colin Stevens.

Dutchmen coach Rick Bennett said Stevens was expected to "take the Tour de France," which means he was riding the exercise bike, on Wednesday. There is a chance he could be on the ice Thursday.

The Dutchmen will play UConn in Storrs, Conn., at 7:05 p.m. Friday. The team will be leaving after practice Thursday.

"He'll start taking shots tomorrow," Bennett said. "We'll see if he makes the bus tomorrow or not. I'm not quite certain whether if he's going to be on that bus or not."

Stevens was injured just over six minutes into the season-opening game against Bowling Green Oct. 11 when he was drilled by Falcons forward Bryce Williamson as he was driving the net.
