Gingras' goal gives Union a 3-2 lead over Colgate after two

Defenseman Sebastian Gingras scored late in the second period to snap a 2-2 tie and give Union a 3-2 lead over Colgate after 40 minutes of play in their ECAC Hockey game at Messa Rink.

Gingras was alone in the left circle when he took a Matt Wilkins pass and beat goalie Charlie Finn with 3:51 left. It was Gingras' first goal since Oct. 12, 2012, when he scored two at Bowling Green.

Colgate tied the score 5:12 into the second when Tylor Spink jammed the puck past goalie Colin Stevens.

Daniel Carr scored twice in the first period for Union. Darcy Murphy scored a short-handed goal late in the first for Colgate.
