Daniel Ciampini, who had a potential goal called back in the first period because of a high stick, scored late in the second period to give Union a 2-1 lead over Dartmouth in Game 1 of their ECAC Hockey tournament quarterfinal series Friday at Messa Rink.
Ciamoin was alone in the slot when he received a pass from Wayne Simpson and fired it past goalie Charles Grant with 2:01 left in the second.
Dartmouth had tied the game 2:47 earlier when Tyler Sikura pushed a puck just out of reach of goalie Troy Grosenick and just over the goal line.
Daniel Carr gave Union a 1-0 lead midway through the first period.
