Ex-Union hockey player Fox signs with CHL's Denver Cutthroats

Former Union hockey forward TJ Fox has signed to play with the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League, it was announced Thursday.

Fox played in 17 games with the CHL's Fort Worth Brahmas, collecting a goal and seven assists. He also played four games with ETC Crimmitschau, which plays in Germany's second Bundesliga, last year and had an assist.

Fox played for the Dutchmen from 2005-07, collecting 21 goals and 36 assists in 66 career games. He led the Dutchmen in scoring his sophomore season with 13 goals and 14 assists in 36 games. After that year, Fox signed with the NHL's San Jose Sharks. He spent two seasons with the AHL's Worcester Sharks and had 19 goals and 23 assists in 150 career games.

Fox's best season was 2009-10, when he had 26 goals and 34 assists in 64 games for the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.
