RPI men top ECAC Hockey All-Academic team (updated)

RPI placed a league-best 24 players on the ECAC Hockey men's All-Academic team, while Union was fifth with 20.

The men's and women's All-Academic teams were announced by the league Wednesday. Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade-point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.

The Engineers on the squad are Nick Bailen, Craig Bokenfohr, Chris Bradley, Milos Bubela, Greg Burgdoerfrer, Andrew Commers, Luke Curad, Scott Diebold, Bo Dolan, Travis Fulton, Ryan Haggerty, Phil Hampton, Brock Higgs, Guy Leboeuf, CJ Lee, Curtis Leonard, Mark McGowan, Bryce Merriam, Mark Miller, Matt Neal, Marty O'Grady, Johnny Rogic, Matt Tinordi and Mike Zalewski.

The Dutchmen members are Kyle Bodie, Mat Bodie, Daniel Carr, Daniel Ciampini, Greg Coburn, Nick Cruice, Theo DiPauli, Ryan Forgaard, Sabastien Gingras, Troy Grosenick, Matt Hatch, Cole Ikkala, Josh Jooris, Max Novak, Dillon Pieri, David Roy, Shawn Stuart, Wayne Simpson, Charlie Vasaturo and Kevin Sullivan.

The order of finish for the teams:
1) RPI 24
2) Quinnipiac 23
3 (tie) Princeton 21; Yale 21
5) Union 20
6) (tie) Clarkson 19; Cornell 19; Dartmouth 19
9) Brown 18
10) Harvard 15
11) St. Lawrence 10
12) Colgate 8

On the women's side, RPI had 16 players make the season, second only to Yale's 18, while Union had 13 to finish sixth.

The RPI players on the team are Brandi Banks, Katie Daniels, Alexa Gruschow, Taylor Horton, Andie LeDonne, Nona Letuligasenoa, Taylor Mahoney, Madison Marzario, Delaney Middlebrook, Kelly O’Brien, Clare Padmore, Brianna Piper, Kathryn Schilter, Jordan Smelker, Ali Svoboda and Sara Till.

The Union players making the team are Rebecca Babiak, Nicole Bartlett, Elsa Bruestle, Ashley Johnston, Jessica Kaminsky, Rhianna Kurio, Shenae Lundberg, Alana Marcinko, Kelly McGrath, Maddy Norton, Elizabeth Otten, Jeannie Sabourin and Christine Valente.
