Red Wings defenseman, Albany native Lashoff scores first career NHL goal

Detroit Red Wings defenseman and Albany native Brian Lashoff scored his first NHL career goal Monday night.
The goal came 1:10 into the second period against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The 22-yeard-old Lashoff spent the NHL lockout with the Red Wings' AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. He had two goals and four assists in 36 games. He had eight goals and 11 assists in 76 games with the Griffins last year.
