Cornell rallies for 3-2 win over Union (updated)

Third-period goals by Cole Bardreau and Brian Ferlin rallied Cornell to a 3-2 ECAC Hockey victory over Union on Friday at Messa Rink.

No. 17 Union took a 2-1 lead into the third in first-period goals by Matt Hatch and Kyle Bodie. But the 16th-ranked Big Red tied it when Bardreau took a John McCarron pass and put it past goalie Troy Grosenick 2:30 into the third.

Ferlin completed a 2-on-1 break when he converted a pass from Joel Lowry.

Cornell goalie Andy Iles made 32 saves. Grosenick stopped 33.

The Dutchmen host Colgate at 7 p.m. Saturday.
