Viewership up for NBC Sports Group's 'Summer at Saratoga' series

It has been a good summer for the NBC Sports Group's "Summer at Saratoga" series.

Going into Saturday's final broadcast, viewership for the series is up. According to an NBC spokesman, a total of 5.1 million viewers have tuned in to some portion of "Summer at Saratoga" through the Travers. That is up 38 percent from last year (3.7 million).

Last Saturday's Travers earned NBC Sports a .71 overnight rating. That is up one percent. However, viewership dropped slightly, from 982,000 last year to 861,000 this year.

The "Summer at Saratoga" series concludes at 4 p.m. Saturday on NBCSN with the Woodward Stakes, Bernard Baruch and Forego.
