Glenmont native Rider named Neumann women's hockey head coach

Glenmont native Kelly Rider was named head coach of the Neumann University women's hockey team on Tuesday.

Rider was an assistant coach for the team last season. Before coming to Neumann in 2012, Rider spent three years as the head coach for Canton (Mass.) High School and as an assistant coach for the Southfield School in Massachusetts.

Rider played in 88 career games for Quinnipiac from 2003-07.

Neumann University is located in Aston, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia.
