Williams to become WTMM's new brand manager
ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team (WTMM-FM) has a new brand manager in Armen Williams.
Williams, a native of Arlington, Texas, comes to the Capital Region from 105.3 The Fan in Dallas/Fort Worth. He was the producer and on-air contributor for "The Elf & Slater Show." Williams was the postgame locker room reporter on the Cowboys Radio Network. He previously worked as a Top-40 morning show co-host in Lubbock, Texas, from 2006 to 2008 and also was the sidelines reporter for the Texas Tech Radio Network.
On his Facebook page, Williams wrote, "Friends, I have accepted the position as Brand Manager of 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio in Albany, NY. I start next week. Thank you fellow Texans for your never-ending support that goes back to 1996, when I was first hired as a part-time assistant at 96.3 KSCS. After being at 105.3 The FAN/CBS Radio for the last four years, it was a tough decision but my family and I are very excited about life's next adventure and I look forward to this great opportunity at the Team."
WTMM has been without a brand manager since Brian Noe left earlier this year. Mike Lindsley replaced Noe on the air.
Williams' arrival could spell the end for Bruce Jacobs, who replaced Brian Sinkoff on Sept. 19, 2011.
