Bennett, Hagwell on season debut of 'Slap Schotts' Thursday
The season debut of my "Slap Schotts" college hockey segment is Thursday at 11:05 a.m. on Rodger Wyland's "Big Board Sportstalk" on FOX Sports 980 (WOFX).
Wyland and I will have two guests on the show. Union head coach Rick Bennett will be on first to talk about the upcoming season and Saturday's season-opening game against Merrimack. ECAC Hockey commissioner Steve Hagwell will be on around 11:20 a.m. to talk about the league, including moving the ECACH championships back to Lake Placid starting in 2014.
